Cactus can help get rid of a hangover

Half of the volunteers for five hours before alcohol was given a pill with an extract from the skin of prickly pears, the other half were given a pill, which did not contain any extract.

None of the volunteers did not know which pill he received. An hour later, participants in the experiment were fed, and another four hours later invited to drink so much alcohol that the hangover was inevitable.

An hour later, the researchers measured the levels of alcohol in the blood of the volunteers and let them go from house to house, asking to return the next day. On the morning of each volunteer was asked to assess their condition for the presence of a hangover.

Two weeks later the experiment was repeated, only the group of the same volunteers swapped. In the end, it was found that an extract of the cactus has a significant impact on three features of hangover - nausea, dry mouth and loss of appetite.

Investigations will continue. Read also about the fact that women carry heavier hangovers than men, and a new way of drinking alcohol, which eliminates the hangover at all.
